Leadership with Intent: A Manifesto for Accountability, Integrity, and Urgency in the Face of America’s Moral and Economic Failure
Veteran | Educator | Advocate | Leader with Purpose
We are at a tipping point.
Not a crossroad. Not a moment of quiet transition. A tipping point. The kind that decides whether this country moves forward with clarity, courage, and conviction—or collapses under the weight of its own cowardice, corruption, and convenience.
Leadership has failed us.
And the failure is not subtle. It is not philosophical. It is deliberate, sustained, and morally bankrupt.
We were promised representation. We got political theater.
We were promised education. We got indoctrination and standardized obedience.
We were promised opportunity. We got exploitation, predatory lending, wage stagnation, generational poverty, and a broken pipeline that leads from underfunded schools to overcrowded courtrooms.
I do not write these words for applause. I write them because I am a professional through and through—a man of service, of experience, of principle, and of purpose. I have led. I continue to lead. I will lead. But hear me now:
I will not lead the unwilling, the unresponsive, or the intentionally absent.
Leadership requires intention. Leadership requires commitment. Leadership demands accountability.
I Am a Leader. Here Is My Record.
My name is Tyrone Glover, and I have dedicated over 30 years to empowering citizens through the pillars of business, financial literacy, civic education, and community uplift. I’m a veteran of the United States military. I am a business owner. I am a mentor. I am a teacher. I am a strategist. And above all, I am an intentional leader of substance.
I don’t believe in empty slogans. I believe in measurable results. That’s why I created:
Leverage Credit Recovery, a for-profit institution specializing in credit literacy, debt navigation, consumer protection, and financial empowerment for the marginalized and misrepresented.
Yonkers Young Entrepreneurs, a nonprofit dedicated to equipping youth of color with real-world skills in entrepreneurship, investing, civics, and wealth creation.
The Financial Literacy Club at Riverside High School, where young minds are empowered to understand and master the economy they’re inheriting.
Glover Bucks, a local student incentive system created at William Boyce Thompson School, demonstrating real-world economics and behavioral economics in action.
Weekly Financial Literacy Workshops at Yonkers Public Library, open to the public every Saturday—for free.
A Voice on the Airwaves, through Soul City Network, spreading knowledge of money management and economic independence
I work directly with Children’s Village to help new youth hires transition into economic self-sufficiency. I serve My Brother’s Keeper as a mentor. I chair the NAACP Youth Committee, where service and structure intersect for lasting transformation.
This is what leadership looks like. It shows up. It builds. It educates. It repairs. It confronts power with truth. It serves.
The State of the Union: An Abdication of Duty
Let’s be brutally honest: the three branches of government have failed.
Congress has become a corporate pawn shop.
The judiciary has turned its back on precedent and the people.
The executive acts with impunity, not accountability.
We, the people, are being ruled—not governed.
Civil liberties are eroded. Privacy is sold. Oversight is a joke. And across this great nation, tens of millions of people are trapped in a false choice: participate in a broken system or be broken by it.
Youth of color in marginalized communities remain the most exploited asset in this country. Not because they lack potential. Not because they lack intelligence. But because the systems intentionally refuse to develop that potential.
The Data: Facts That Speak for Themselves
The unemployment rate for recent high school graduates hovers near 12.6%. For recent college grads, it’s 6.8%—and underemployment remains shockingly high.
Black and Latino youth suffer double-digit unemployment and reduced access to internships, apprenticeships, and capital.
Only 16 states require any form of financial literacy education. The vast majority leave our children defenseless in a financial warzone.
According to Pew and the Urban Institute, a 2–10% investment in early job training, financial education, and entrepreneurship could reduce long-term youth unemployment by over 40%, saving billions in taxpayer-funded social programs.
We’re not short on data. We’re short on will.
The Path Forward: Intentional Leadership, Not Political Lip Service
I am calling for:
Philanthropists, to stop writing checks for PR and start writing checks that change lives.
Venture capitalists, to stop chasing unicorns and start funding Black and brown brilliance already building in marginalized communities.
Government leaders, to stop tweeting solutions and start passing legislation that redistributes not just wealth, but opportunity.
Foundations and nonprofits, to stop gatekeeping and start partnership-building—with community leaders who already do the work.
I don’t need another summit. I need commitments.
As of July 15th thru 19th: We Are Raising the Bar
We are purging our platforms. Every inactive, unresponsive, unengaged participant will be removed. We’re launching with:
A new YouTube Channel
Two new Instagram platforms
Two new TikTok accounts
And a membership program for youth, adults, and seniors who are ready to invest in their financial future, not just ask for help.
This is not charity. This is a movement.
Not a handout. A hand up.
Final Word: Are You Deserving of This Leadership?
“It is easier to build strong children than to repair broken men.” – Frederick Douglass
The truth is, we have enough broken men. What we need now are strong leaders—intentional, tested, committed, and unafraid.
I will continue to lead. But I am only interested in leading those who are ready.
So I ask you:
Are you ready to take your place in the transformation of this nation?
Are you ready to put people over profit?
Are you ready to help youth of color build their legacy?
Then join us.
If not, kindly step aside. There is no room left for performative leadership. Time is of the essence, and history is watching.
Travel well. Stay safe. Stay informed. And above all—lead with integrity and intent.
Sincerely,
